TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, RELATING TO SPECIFIC INFORMATION SERVICE SIGNING, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2883, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Transportation, relating to Specific Information Service Signing, designated as Regulation Document Number 2883, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to amend 63-338 to provide for a bid solicitation and selection process at intersections where the number of qualifying businesses exceeds the available spaces on the service panel and to delete the requirement that an attraction must have public telephones to qualify for participation on an Attraction service panel.
