TO RECOGNIZE DR. W. DEAN BANKS OF FLORENCE FOR HIS SERVICE AS 2004-2005 PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION, TO COMMEND DR. BANKS FOR TWICE BEING NAMED SOUTH CAROLINA CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION DISTRICT DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR, AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM FOR BEING AWARDED THE ASSOCIATION'S PRESIDENT'S CUP AND PILLAR OF STRENGTH AWARD.
Whereas, Dr. W. Dean Banks has been tireless in his service to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association during the past year as its president; and
Whereas, during his presidency, Dr. Banks spent countless hours traveling the State to promote the South Carolina Chiropractic Association through a series of Town Hall meetings, by attending the association's district meetings, and by recruiting new members of the association; and
Whereas, twice he has received the association's District Director of the Year award; and
Whereas, Dr. Banks has been awarded the South Carolina Chiropractic Association President's Cup which is a merit-based award; and
Whereas, because of his consistent leadership, active participation, and honest feedback, he was the 2003 recipient of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association's Pillar of Strength award; and
Whereas, Dr. Banks currently serves on the South Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners; and
Whereas, Dr. Banks has been a member of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association since he graduated from Life Chiropractic College and began practicing in Florence in 1991, is an American Chiropractic Association certified chiropractic sports physician, and is a member of the Florence Breakfast Rotary Club; and
Whereas, this truly fine man remains active in his community of Florence where he resides with his wife Mendi and son Caleb. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize Dr. W. Dean Banks for his service as 2004-2005 South Carolina Chiropractic Association President, commend Dr. Banks for twice being named South Carolina Chiropractic Association District Director of the Year, and congratulate him for being awarded the association's President's Cup and Pillar of Strength award.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Banks.
