The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 95:1: "Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the rock of our salvation."
Let us pray. Almighty God, giver of every good thing. We thank You for the richness of Your blessings. We thank You for the privilege of sharing what You have first given us. We thank You for all we enjoy today, and for the part we can play in accomplishing Your will. May we work together with enthusiasm and a positive attitude to fulfill Your will. Be with Representative Mike Pitts today. Touch him with Your healing and nourish him in health. Guide those who wait upon him. Look in kindness on our Nation, President, State and leaders. Keep our defenders of freedom safe. In Your Holy name. Amen.
