AN ACT TO DEVOLVE ALL OF THE POWERS, DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ASSETS, AND LIABILITIES OF THE HISTORICAL COMMISSION FOR FAIRFIELD COUNTY AND THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY RECREATION DISTRICT UPON THE GOVERNING BODY OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY, AND TO PROVIDE A PROCEDURE FOR THE DEVOLUTION OF POWERS, DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ASSETS, AND LIABILITIES; AND TO REPEAL ACT 1079 OF 1958 RELATING TO THE HISTORICAL COMMISSION FOR FAIRFIELD COUNTY, AND ACT 1059 OF 1970 RELATING TO THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY RECREATION DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Powers, duties, etc. transferred
SECTION 1. (A) The powers, duties, responsibilities, assets, and liabilities of the Fairfield County Historical Commission and the Fairfield County Recreation District are transferred and devolved upon the governing body of Fairfield County.
(B) The chairmen of the commission, district, and governing body shall cooperate with one another in executing all documents necessary to effectuate the transfer of all powers, duties, responsibilities, assets, and liabilities required by this act.
Repeal
SECTION 2. Act 1079 of 1958 and Act 1059 of 1970 are repealed.
Time effective
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 12th day of April, 2007.
Approved the 18th day of April, 2007.
