VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE WILLIAM DURHAM HOPPER OF YORK COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS SIXTY-FIFTH BIRTHDAY AND TO WISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, William Durham Hopper was born in Chester, South Carolina on July 28, 1942, and after graduating from Chester High School, attended and graduated from Palmer College, where he studied business; and
Whereas, Mr. Hopper later served in the South Carolina Air National Guard, where he gained experience and leadership skills that he has since demonstrated throughout his life; and
Whereas, William Durham Hopper's greatest accomplishments include marrying his lovely wife, Miriam Denise Nance, on September 16, 1973, and together becoming the proud parents of four beautiful daughters: Julia Hopper Milne, Martha Hopper Compton, Sara Nance Hopper, and Emily Denise Hinson, each of whom consistently demonstrate the character and integrity instilled by their parents; and
Whereas, Mr. Hopper is an exemplary and devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather to a loving and loyal family; and
Whereas, a successful, self-employed businessman and entrepreneur, William Durham Hopper remains active in his church and community; and
Whereas, his dedication to families and interest in history developed within him a strong passion for genealogy research; and
Whereas, Mr. Hopper's knowledge, warmth, and friendly demeanor endear him to all who know him; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to recognize William Durham Hopper for his love and dedication to his family upon the wonderful occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate and honor William Durham Hopper of York County on the occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday and to wish him much happiness and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. William Durham Hopper.
