VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE GRATITUDE OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO CAPTAIN DAVE M. HENDERSON OF GREENVILLE COUNTY FOR HIS THIRTY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS AN OFFICER WITH THE CITY OF GREENVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives notes with regret that after thirty years of dedicated service, Captain Dave M. Henderson is retiring as an officer with the City of Greenville Police Department; and
Whereas, for the past thirty years Captain Henderson has served with great honor and distinction as one of South Carolina's premier law enforcement officers; and
Whereas, he has earned many accolades during his remarkable career which includes being named Officer of the Year for the City of Greenville Police Department, and being named the Strom Thurmond Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, Captain Henderson is respected throughout our great State's law enforcement community for his tenacious investigative skills in the pursuit of justice and his "can do" attitude; and
Whereas, throughout his law enforcement career, Captain Henderson has maintained the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and character; and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives to honor and recognize this great son of South Carolina for thirty years of dedicated service to the City of Greenville Police Department. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representative of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express their gratitude to Captain Dave M. Henderson of Greenville County for his thirty years of dedicated service as an officer with the City of Greenville Police Department and wish him much success and fulfillment in all of his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Captain Dave M. Henderson.
