A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROPRIATE TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS FROM SURPLUS FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 GENERAL FUND REVENUES FOR ADDITIONAL FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 EFA FUNDING TO HOLD HARMLESS SCHOOL DISTRICTS OTHERWISE RECEIVING REDUCED EFA FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    There is appropriated from surplus fiscal year 2006-2007 general fund revenues the sum of twenty million dollars to the State Department of Education which must be used to hold harmless school districts otherwise receiving reduced EFA funding for fiscal year 2007-2008.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
