VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
RECOGNIZING AND HONORING LEE COUNTY'S EMILY FAITH SNIPES, RECIPIENT OF THE GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD FROM THE GIRL SCOUT COUNCIL OF THE PEE DEE AREA.
Whereas, Emily Faith Snipes, of Bishopville in Lee County, shared her love in the form of handmade fleece blankets as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project; and
Whereas, acting through Project Linus, which encourages the creation of handmade blankets and afghans as instruments of security, warmth, and comfort to children, Emily Faith Snipes presented her thirty fleece blankets to Epworth Children's Home and the Children's Hospital in Columbia; and
Whereas, this rising junior at Robert E. Lee Academy, is a former Bronze Award and Silver Award winner and cherishes her nine years of Girl Scout activities as a chance not only to make friends, but also to serve others; and
Whereas, the daughter of Bruce and Sandra Snipes, fifteen-year-old Emily Faith Snipes is already well on her way to being a vital and productive citizen of this State; and
Whereas, it is a privilege for the House of Representatives to honor her achievements. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Lee County's Emily Faith Snipes, recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award from the Girl Scout Council of the Pee Dee Area.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Emily Faith Snipes.
