AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 170 OF 2007, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF A STUDY COMMITTEE TO EXAMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF NATURAL GAS EXPLORATION IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN OFF THE COAST OF SOUTH CAROLINA, SO AS TO EXTEND FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2008, TO NOVEMBER 1, 2008, THE DATE BY WHICH THE COMMITTEE IS REQUIRED TO MAKE ITS REPORT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Date extended

SECTION    1.    Section 1(F) of Act 170 of 2007 is amended to read:

"(F)    The committee shall render its report and recommendations to the General Assembly before November 1, 2008, at which time it is dissolved."

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 13th day of February, 2008.

Became law without the signature of the Governor -- 2/20/08.
