TO COMMEND MRS. DONNA TINSLEY, OF RICHLAND COUNTY, FOR HER ALMOST TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE HOUSE EDUCATION AND PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE, UPON THE CONCLUSION OF HER SERVICE TO THE COMMITTEE AND TO WISH HER MUCH SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN HER NEW ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Mrs. Donna Tinsley, of Richland County, for almost twenty-seven years carried out her duties as executive secretary and administrative assistant to the House Education and Public Works Committee with excellence; and
Whereas, beginning her tenure in 1981 under Chairman Eugene C. Stoddard, over the years she served under five other House Education and Public Works Committee chairmen, the Honorable Lewis Phillips, the Honorable David M. Beasley, the Honorable Olin P. Phillips, the Honorable Ronald P. Townsend, and the Honorable Robert E. Walker; and
Whereas, additional assignments included providing staff support to the Education Study Committee and the Committee to Screen Boards of Trustees for Colleges and Universities; and
Whereas, daily handling a myriad of duties from maintaining the tracking system of legislation referred to committee to coordinating the chairman's schedule, Mrs. Tinsley kept the House Education and Public Works Committee office running smoothly; and
Whereas, remembering her labors with gratitude, the members of the House of Representatives wish to express their thanks to Mrs. Tinsley for her faithful service to the people of South Carolina over the past two and a half decades with one of the most important committees of the House. She will be missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend Mrs. Donna Tinsley, of Richland County, for her almost twenty-seven years of outstanding and dedicated service to the House Education and Public Works Committee, upon the conclusion of her service to the committee and to wish her much success and fulfillment in her new endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Donna Tinsley.
