TO CONGRATULATE GLORIA L. FREEMAN, OF CHAPIN, UPON BEING CHOSEN THE 2008 ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVES.
Whereas, Gloria L. Freeman, of Chapin, has been selected as the 2008 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives; and
Whereas, in being so chosen, she has received the top honor of her profession, which has been bestowed upon only twenty-two association executives since 1985; and
Whereas, an association executive for thirty years for the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, Gloria consistently has provided the membership of that organization with the highest level of customer service, dedication, and loyalty, and she serves as vice president and secretary to its board; and
Whereas, she has brought positive professional attention to herself and to her profession both nationally and on a statewide basis through service on the South Carolina Society of Association Executives Board of Directors, and she is recognized among her peers as a leader and expert in her field; and
Whereas, Gloria has demonstrated success not only as an association executive but also as a devoted wife and mother, Sunday School teacher and leader on her church council, and volunteer for the Heart Association, Cancer Society, and Race for Life; and
Whereas, her dedication and professionalism prove this outstanding association executive deserving of this recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Gloria L. Freeman, of Chapin, upon being chosen the 2008 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Gloria Freeman.
