TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS AT THE BRIDGE THAT CROSSES FOUR HOLE SWAMP WHERE IT FLOWS INTO THE EDISTO RIVER ALONG WIRE ROAD IN DORCHESTER COUNTY THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "MUCKENFUSS (1792 - 1813) MINUS (1813 - 1848) HARLEY (1848 - 1862) BRIDGE".
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly request the Department of Transportation erect appropriate markers or signs at the bridge that crosses Four Hole Swamp where it flows into the Edisto River along Wire Road in Dorchester County that contain the words "Muckenfuss (1792 -1813) Minus (1813 - 1848) Harley (1848 - 1862) Bridge".
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
