TO AMEND RULE 10 OF THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES BY ADDING RULE 10.12 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IF CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY FALLS ON A REGULARLY SCHEDULED SESSION DAY, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES WILL OBSERVE THE STATE HOLIDAY AND NOT MEET ON THIS DAY.
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That Rule 10 of the Rules of the House of Representatives is amended by adding:
"10.12 If the tenth of May, Confederate Memorial Day, which is recognized as a state holiday pursuant to the provisions of Section 53-5-10 falls on a day in which the House of Representatives would normally meet for a regularly scheduled session day, the House shall observe the state holiday and will not meet on this day."
