AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-120, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN BERKELEY COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE AN EXISTING PRECINCT, TO ADD FOUR PRECINCTS, TO DELETE AN OBSOLETE REFERENCE, AND TO REDESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAMES OF THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Berkeley County voting precincts revised
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-120 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 163 of 2010, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-120. (A) In Berkeley County there are the following voting precincts:
Alvin
Bethera
Beverly Hills
Bonneau
Bonneau Beach
Central
Cainhoy
Carnes Cross Road No. 1
Carnes Cross Road No. 2
Cordesville
Cross
Daniel Island No. 1

(B) The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-15-13 and as shown on copies provided to the Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Berkeley County.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Berkeley County subject to the approval of a majority of the Senators and a majority of the House members of the Berkeley County Delegation."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 11th day of June, 2013.
