TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO DISPLAYING THE FLAG, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 4403, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the State Board of Education, relating to Displaying the Flag, designated as Regulation Document Number 4403, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Regulation 43-188, Displaying the Flag, has been in effect since 2006. The purpose of the amendment is to include language to establish further guidance for displaying the flag which may be adopted by the State Board of Education that is not inconsistent with the law.
