The House assembled at 2:00 p.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 25:5: "Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long."
Let us pray. Lord, You have been our dwelling place for generations. As You have blessed those before us, so bless these Representatives and staff as they strive to accomplish their tasks. Allow them to continue their good works for the people of this State. Guard and protect them as they work and as they travel. Bless our Nation, State, and those who lead us. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

Pursuant to Rule 6.3, the House of Representatives was led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America by the SPEAKER.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
