VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO PROCLAIM APRIL 18, 2015, AS "AUCTIONEERS DAY" IN SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO RECOGNIZE THE ROLE AUCTIONEERS PLAY IN THE STATE'S ECONOMY.
Whereas, the auction industry continues to grow and play an important role in our nation's economy; and
Whereas, auctions are an efficient means of connecting buyers and sellers and are an excellent example of how the competitive free enterprise system effectively establishes fair market value; and
Whereas, the South Carolina Auctioneers Association and its members seek to establish and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in serving the public; and
Whereas, South Carolina's auctioneers are business owners who support their communities and contribute to the state's economy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, proclaim April 18, 2015, as "Auctioneers Day" in South Carolina and recognize the role that auctioneers play in the State's economy.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Carolina Auctioneers Association.
