VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND SECTION 16-3-1180, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE AMOUNT OF AWARDS FOR CRIME VICTIMS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT AN AWARD MAY BE MADE FOR A CLAIMANT THAT IS DEPRIVED OF INCOME FOR AT LEAST ONE WORK DAY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 16-3-1180(A)(3)(a) is amended to read:
"(a) claimant is deprived of that income for at least two consecutive weeks one work day, notwithstanding the minimum loss requirement pursuant to subsection (D);"
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
