TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR LISA TINDAL, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA OF AIKEN COUNTY, AS SHE LEAVES AFTER A DECADE OF EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives honors Lisa Tindal as a premier advocate for children and for those suffering from mental disorders. For the last ten years she has been a distinguished and highly regarded executive director of Mental Health America (MHA) of Aiken; and
Whereas, as executive director of MHA of Aiken County, she worked for a decade to alter perceptions about stigmas associated with mental health, suicide, and homelessness and to help people realize that there is no stereotypical face to any of these issues; and
Whereas, she has created a safe place at MHA for friends and family to deal with the special grief emanating from losing a loved one to suicide, while continuing to serve the needs of the homeless and those with mental health issues, to raise funds for the nonprofit organization, and to manage its diverse requirements; and
Whereas, the community's mental health warrior, Ms. Tindal has guided and advocated for the nonprofit organization with passion and persistence in order to improve support for mental health of all individuals in the Central Savannah River Area who have been impacted all along the spectrum of mental health challenges; and
Whereas, trusting God to order her days at MHA through His grace and providence, Ms. Tindal has assisted MHA of Aiken County to become known tangibly and consistently as a steadfast place able to restore hope for individuals in crisis, a safe place for those who are struggling, and a positive and thriving force for good in the generous Aiken community; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is grateful for the years of unparalleled dedication that Lisa Tindal has devoted to Mental Health America of Aiken County, and the members wish her many years of enjoyment as she leaves MHA of Aiken County at the end of April 2019. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Lisa Tindal, Executive Director of Mental Health America of Aiken County, as she leaves after a decade of exceptional service and wish her continued success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Lisa Tindal.
