VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND SECTION 57-1-430, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE SECRETARY TO CERTIFY THE EXPENDITURE REPORT AND INCLUDE TRANSFERRED FUNDS, AND TO REQUIRE THE SECRETARY TO PUBLISH AND CERTIFY A REPORT REGARDING ANY TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE BANK.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. A. Section 57-1-430(C) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"(C) The secretary shall prepare, certify, and publish on the department's website an annual report outlining all of the department's annual expenditures and transfers. The report must include a statewide summary and a detailed expenditure report for each county."
B. Section 57-1-430 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding an appropriately lettered subsection to read:
"( ) The secretary shall prepare, certify, and publish on the department's website an annual report stating whether the department caused any funds to be transferred to the South Carolina Transportation Infrastructure Bank. If funds were transferred, the report must specify the amount transferred, the authority under which the funds were transferred, the projects for which they were transferred, and the status of such projects."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
