A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE GEORGETOWN LIONS CLUB UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS SEVENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY AND TO COMMEND THE CLUB FOR ITS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO GEORGETOWN COUNTY AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize the Georgetown Lions Club as it celebrates this important milestone; and

Whereas, the Georgetown Lions Club was chartered by Lions Clubs International on January 7, 1946; and

Whereas, since its inception, the Georgetown Lions Club has pursued its mission to improve vision, diabetes, hunger, the environment, and childhood cancer and to respond to anyone in need; and

Whereas, today, the club has forty-four members who meet on the first and third Monday evenings of each month at Wedgefield Country Club in Georgetown; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the dedicated service of the Georgetown Lions Club to the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate the Georgetown Lions Club upon the occasion of its seventy-fifth anniversary and commend the club for its many years of service to Georgetown County and the State of South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Georgetown Lions Club.
