VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE THE LEXINGTON COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER FOR BEING AWARDED ACCREDITATION FROM THE COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, INC. (CALEA) FIVE CONSECUTIVE TIMES.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to recognize the Lexington County Communications Center upon receiving a Law Enforcement Communications Reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. effective April 2, 2022; and
Whereas, the CALEA is the "Gold Standard in Public Safety" with a review of policies and practices against internationally accepted public safety communication standards; and
Whereas, the CALEA partners with the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International, Inc. in the development and maintenance of the standards for which communication centers are assessed; and
Whereas, the CALEA Public Safety Communications Accreditation process is a rigorous assessment and serves as the foundation for a successful law enforcement communications center, focusing on quality assurance, interoperability, and emerging technologies, among others; and
Whereas, since it was established, the Lexington County Communications Center has consistently met the high standard of excellence for accreditation; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are grateful for the Lexington County Communications Center's dedicated service to the people and the State of South Carolina and take great pleasure in saluting the center for receiving CALEA Accreditation for the fifth time. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and congratulate the Lexington County Communications Center for being awarded Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) five consecutive times.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Lexington County Communications Center.
