VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE HONORABLE MANDY KIMMONS FOR HER COMMITTED SERVICE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE CITIZENS OF DISTRICT 97 IN COLLETON AND DORCHESTER COUNTIES AND TO WISH HER SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives learned with regret that Mandy Kimmons would depart from the House of Representatives on December 21, 2021; and
Whereas, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on October 28, 1984, she is the daughter of Douglas and Rita Wilkerson. A current resident of Ridgeville, Representative Kimmons serves her community as an attorney. In preparation for her career, she graduated magna cum laude with a double major in political science and Spanish from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) in 2005. She then went on to earn her juris doctor from the UofSC School of Law in 2008; and
Whereas, prior to her tenure with the House, Representative Kimmons served as the Assistant Solicitor for the First Judicial Circuit from 2008 until 2016. She was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives for the first time in 2018; and
Whereas, in serving the people of South Carolina, Representative Kimmons found strong support in her husband, Charles Edward Kimmons, and their son, Joby Douglas. When away from her duties in the House of Representatives, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and horseback riding, as well as volunteering and helping others; and
Whereas, on the occasion of her departure from the House of Representatives, her House colleagues, grateful for Mandy Kimmons' dedicated service to this State, extend sincere best wishes for much happiness in the days to come. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That that the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend the Honorable Mandy Kimmons for her committed service to the South Carolina House of Representatives and the citizens of District 97 in Colleton and Dorchester Counties and wish her success and fulfillment in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Representative Mandy Kimmons.
