Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our men and women who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.

The Bill was read the third time and ordered sent to the Senate.
While this Bill, H. 5399 (Word version), purports to affirm life begins at conception, in reality it fails to establish equal portection under the law as required by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution.
Furthermore, 44-41-825 protects the legal status of abortion, and will allow abortion mills to potentially remain open. This consequence is reflected in the fiscal impact statement, which states that "it is undetermined whether the Bill will affect [abortion clinic license fee] revenue."
For these and other reasons, I voted against this Bill on third reading.
