TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 4-1-195 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION MAY ABOLISH AND DISSOLVE A COUNTY RECREATION COMMISSION AND DEVOLVE ITS POWERS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES UPON THE COUNTY GOVERNING BODY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 4 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 4-1-195. Notwithstanding another provision of law, a county legislative delegation may by delegation resolution abolish and dissolve a county recreation commission and devolve its powers, duties, and responsibilities upon the county governing body."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
