A house RESOLUTION
to express support for the williams transco southeast supply enhancement project.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to express support for the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project; and
Whereas, the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project is an essential step in sustaining economic momentum and consistent energy resources for the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, natural gas consumption has risen by more than sixty percent in the past decade and continues to climb. It is essential that steps are taken to meet the ever-increasing demand for energy; and
Whereas, the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project aims to increase access to natural gas, thereby expanding energy capacity and meeting the growing demand in addition to creating jobs for South Carolinians; and
Whereas, the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project has committed to high safety standards and environmental responsibility and an adherence to regulations protecting local communities and ecosystems. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express support for the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project.
