AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-26-45 SO AS TO EXEMPT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IN CERTAIN EVALUATIONS OF PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATORS AND STUDENT TEACHERS FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Exemption for personally identifiable information in teacher and student teacher evaluations
SECTION 1. Chapter 26, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-26-45. To promote candid feedback for continuous improvement of teaching and learning, records relating to educator evaluations that include personally identifiable information are exempt from disclosure under the provisions of Chapter 4, Title 30."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
