H 3412 General Bill, By M.O. Alexander, Alexander, D. Blackwell, J.G. Mattos and L. Phillips
    A Bill to amend Section 12-43-300, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to notice requirements and appeal procedures for property tax reassessments, so as to require reassessment notices to be mailed to taxpayers on or before the third Monday in June of the reassessment year and to require the notice to contain both the prior market value, the market value following reassessment, the percentage changes and location of the property, and to require the Tax Commission to prescribe a standard reassessment form designed to provide the required information in an easily understood manner; and to amend Section 12-43-210, relating to uniform assessments for purposes of property taxation, so as to require all real property in a county to be reassessed in any reassessment program.
