    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 17 IN CHARLESTON COUNTY FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 7 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 171 THE "CHARLESTON NINE MEMORIAL HIGHWAY", AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "CHARLESTON NINE MEMORIAL HIGHWAY" AS A LASTING TRIBUTE TO THE NINE CITY OF CHARLESTON FIREFIGHTERS WHO TRAGICALLY PERISHED IN THE WEST ASHLEY FIRE ON MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2007.
