AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 36-9-402, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REQUISITES OF A FINANCING STATEMENT UNDER THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE, SO AS TO FURTHER PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH A FINANCING STATEMENT IS CONSIDERED SUFFICIENT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
When a financing statement is sufficient
SECTION 1. Section 36-9-402(2)(d) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"(d) collateral acquired after a change of name, identity, or corporate structure of the creditor or the debtor (subsection (7))."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
