AN ACT TO REENACT SECTION 38-73-470, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF UNINSURED MOTORIST PREMIUM; AND TO REPEAL SECTION 56 OF ACT 148 OF 1989 RELATING TO THE REPEAL OF SECTION 38-73-470.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Reenacted
SECTION 1. Section 38-73-470 of the 1976 Code is reenacted to read:
"Section 38-73-470. One dollar of the yearly premium for uninsured motorist coverage must be transferred to the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation, payable on a quarterly basis, to provide funds for the costs of enforcing and administering the provisions of Article 3, Chapter 10, Title 56."
Repeal
SECTION 2. Section 56 of Act 148 of 1989 is repealed.
Time effective
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
