TO AMEND SECTION 59-47-70, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THOSE PERSONS WHO MUST BE ADMITTED TO RECEIVE SERVICES FROM THE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND BLIND, SO AS TO INCLUDE HARD OF HEARING AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS.
Amend Title To Conform
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 59-47-70 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 59-47-70. All A person who is deaf, mutes and hard of hearing, blind persons of the State, visually impaired, or a combination of these who are of proper age and mental capacity is eligible, each case to be decided as determined by the board of commissioners, shall be admittted to the benefits receive services of the school."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
