AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 53-3-140 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT JUNE TWENTY-EIGHTH OF EACH YEAR IS "CAROLINA DAY" IN SOUTH CAROLINA, COMMEMORATING THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF FORT SULLIVAN IN 1776.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
"Carolina Day" declared
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 53-3-140. June twenty-eighth of each year, the anniversary of the Battle of Fort Sullivan in 1776, is declared to be `Carolina Day' in South Carolina."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
