CONGRATULATING DR. ROBERT COOK EDWARDS AND MRS. LOUISE ODOM EDWARDS ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR SIXTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ON MAY 30, 1995.
Whereas, many honors are shared by Dr. and Mrs. Edwards as they have served their country, business, community, State and Nation, and worthy of special significance is their harmonious influence in the field of academia, particularly throughout the family of Clemson University; and
Whereas, the outstanding accomplishments of this distinguished South Carolina gentleman and gentlewoman deserve our appreciation and recognition for their legacy, their years of dedicated service to their family, community, and our State setting an example for all to adopt their philosophy: "Quality is essential; excellence is forever the goal"; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they may take this opportunity to express their deepest appreciation to this stellar couple for providing exemplary role models and to wish them well in their future endeavors. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution congratulate Dr. Robert Cook Edwards and Mrs. Louise Odom Edwards on the occasion of their sixtieth wedding anniversary on May 30, 1995.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Cook Edwards.
