TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 8-11-765 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER OF ANNUAL LEAVE AND SICK LEAVE BETWEEN SPOUSES WHEN BOTH ARE EMPLOYED BY STATE AGENCIES SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE STATE EMPLOYEE LEAVE-TRANSFER PROGRAM.
Amend Title To Conform
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 9, Chapter 11, Title 8 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 8-11-765. When spouses both earn annual and sick leave pursuant to this chapter, and with the approval of the agency head of both spouses' employers, the spouses may transfer such leave to each other in the manner provided in this article and subject to the terms and conditions of this article."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
