AN ACT TO PROHIBIT A COMMISSIONER OF A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED BY A SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY FROM SERVING OR ACTING AS A FIREFIGHTER FOR THAT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Commissioner may not be firefighter
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person who is a commissioner of a volunteer fire department established by a special purpose district in Spartanburg County may serve or act as a firefighter for that volunteer fire department.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
