AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-9-510, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO LICENSES AUTHORIZED FOR SALE BY THE DEPARTMENT, SO AS TO REVISE THE AGE AND FEE REQUIREMENTS FOR A STATEWIDE LIFETIME HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Age and fee requirements revised
SECTION 1. Section 50-9-510(15) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 372 of 1996, is further amended to read:
"(15) A resident of South Carolina who has attained the age of sixty-four years may obtain a statewide lifetime hunting and fishing license for nine dollars; provided, that those persons who have attained the age of sixty-five on or before July 1, 2005, may obtain this license at no cost. This license includes the privilege of hunting big game, hunting on wildlife management area lands, and state migratory waterfowl and of saltwater fishing."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 24th day of May, 2005.
Approved the 26th day of May, 2005.
