TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-465, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN RICHLAND COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE AND ADD CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS OF RICHLAND COUNTY AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD AND PROVIDE THAT POLLING PLACES MUST BE SELECTED BY THE RICHLAND COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION UPON APPROVAL OF A MAJORITY OF THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-465 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 221 of 2002, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-465. (A) In Richland County there are the following voting precincts:

(B) The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services Statistics of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board designated as document P-7901 P-79-07 and as shown on certified copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission and the Richland County Board of Voter Registration by the Division of Research and Statistical Services Statistics.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Richland County Election Commission subject to the approval of the majority of the Richland County Legislative Delegation."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
