AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 62-1-302, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO JURISDICTION OF THE PROBATE COURT, SO AS TO ADD THE WORD "GENERAL" BEFORE "PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES" IN CONNECTION WITH FORMAL PROCEEDINGS FOR THEIR APPOINTMENT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Jurisdiction of the Probate Court
SECTION 1. Section 62-1-302(d)(1) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 132 of 2005, is further amended to read:
"(1) formal proceedings for the probate of wills and for the appointment of general personal representatives;"
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
