A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 95 IN JASPER COUNTY FROM MILE MARKER THREE TO MILE MARKER FIVE THE "CORPORAL MARK D. JONES HIGHWAY" AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "CORPORAL MARK D. JONES HIGHWAY".

Whereas, prior to his death, he was a member of the City of Hardeeville Police Department known for his dedication, kindness, work ethic, and love for his family and community; and

Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the South Carolina General Assembly to pay a lasting tribute to Corporal Mark D. Jones by having a portion of Interstate Highway 95 in Jasper County named in his honor. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, request that the Department of Transportation name the portion of Interstate Highway 95 in Jasper County from mile marker three to mile marker five the "Corporal Mark D.
