TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 17-25-325 SO AS TO PROVIDE A JUDGMENT AND SENTENCE OF A COURT OF GENERAL SESSIONS IN A CRIMINAL CASE AGAINST AN INDIVIDUAL MAY BE ENFORCED AS A JUDGMENT IS ENFORCED IN THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS IN CIVIL ACTIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 17-25-325. The sentence and judgment of the court of general sessions in a criminal case against an individual may be enforced in the same manner by execution against the property of the defendant as is provided by law for enforcing the judgments of the courts of common pleas in civil actions."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
