AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 8-21-310, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO FEES COLLECTED BY CLERKS OF COURT AND REGISTERS OF MESNE CONVEYANCES, SO AS TO PROVIDE A FEE OF TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS FOR THE EXPUNGEMENT OF CRIMINAL RECORDS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Expungement fee
SECTION 1. Section 8-21-310 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 531 of 1990, is further amended by adding an appropriately numbered item to read:
"( ) for expunging criminal records as provided by law, twenty-five dollars."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
