A JOINT RESOLUTION TO DIRECT THE STATE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS TO PROMULGATE REGULATIONS SPECIFYING THE CRITERIA FOR PHYSICIAN SUPERVISION OF NURSE PRACTITIONERS AND TO SUBMIT THESE REGULATIONS FOR GENERAL ASSEMBLY REVIEW BY JANUARY 12, 1993.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Regulations approved
SECTION 1. The State Board of Medical Examiners shall promulgate regulations specifying the criteria for physician supervision of nurse practitioners practicing in the extended role as provided for in Section 40-33-220, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976. These regulations must be submitted to the General Assembly for review by January 12, 1993.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
