TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 44-7-2025 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT TWO ADDITIONAL MEMBERS MUST BE ADDED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER APPOINTED BY A MAJORITY OF THE SPARTANBURG LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 44-7-2025. Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter, the board of directors of the Spartanburg County Regional Medical Center must be increased by two additional members who must be appointed by a majority of the Spartanburg Legislative Delegation. All terms and other matters concerning the appointments must be as provided by law."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
