The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Isaiah 55:3: "Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live."
Let us pray. God of all, keep us from ignoring Your lead and guidance in our daily life and work. Lift us up to do what is required for the sake of the people whom we serve. Be with our leaders of State and Nation. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
