The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 5:8: "Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness."

Let us pray. Loving and gracious God, as we begin a new week of service and duty to the people of this State, lead us, O Lord, to do what is good and helpful for those we represent. Keep these, Your people, close as they work for the rights and just causes of all. Protect them while they are here and their families at home. Bestow Your blessings upon our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who contribute to the good of all. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.

Pursuant to Rule 6.3, the House of Representatives was led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America by the SPEAKER.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Friday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
