The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Proverbs 1:2: "For learning about wisdom and instruction, for understanding words of insight, for gaining instruction in wise dealing, righteousness, justice and equity;"

Let us pray. Enable our lawmakers to foster legislation that provides government with strength and powers, tempered by justice. Inspire them with wisdom to write and enact laws that will guarantee safety, protection, and integrity. Bestow Your blessings and wisdom upon our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who contribute to the success of this House. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.

Pursuant to Rule 6.3, the House of Representatives was led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America by the SPEAKER PRO TEMPORE.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Friday, the SPEAKER PRO TEMPORE ordered it confirmed.

MOTION ADOPTED
