NO. 15
REGULAR SESSION BEGINNING TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2021
________
The House assembled at 12:00 noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Hebrews 2:1: "We must pay greater attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away."
Let us pray. Lord God, we bring before You the cries of a sorrowing world. In Your mercy set us free from the chains that bind us, and defend us from everything that is evil. Grant to these Representatives and staff the will and the way to accomplish the work at hand. Give all of us peace and understanding to carry forth the message of reconciliation to each other. Bless our defenders of freedom and first responders as they care for us. Cause Your face to shine on our world, Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who give of themselves for the betterment of this State. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.
