AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 286 OF 1989, RELATING TO THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF HAMPTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS 1 AND 2, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE TRUSTEES, AT THEIR DISCRETION, MAY RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY UP TO THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Salary authorized
SECTION 1. Section 1(B) of Act 286 of 1989 is amended to read:
"(B) The Hampton County Treasurer shall pay all claims approved by a majority of the trustees of either district, on behalf of their respective district, provided sufficient funds are on deposit in the proper district account. Trustees, at their discretion, may receive an annual salary up to three thousand dollars and must be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
